How Buying Golf Clubs Is Like Searching For A Lover!

Two sayings immediately come to mind and ultimately seem very appropriate whether you're discussing buying a new set of golf clubs or searching for a new lover.

The first, "to each, his own". The second, "different strokes for different folks".

Whether you're a young buck just starting out or an experienced old pro, before you drop a few bucks on a new set of golf clubs (or a beautiful woman) we need to talk about your "feelings".

Don't worry though. I don't want to talk about your Mommy or your emotionally troubled times as a child.

The feelings we're going to talk about are all about "feeling good" and "feeling right". We're going to talk about "hands on feelings". And the fact that what feels right to me may not feel right to you, and vice versa.

Here's what I mean; The most important thing to think about when choosing a new set of clubs (or a new lover) is to be absolutely sure they feel comfortable in your hands.

The better they feel in your hands the better your chances of enjoying the game (and life in general) and actually improving your scores over time.

Okay, so we know that there really is scientific method for choosing the right set of clubs (or the right lover). But I want to offer you a couple of handy tips that may be helpful in choosing the best set of golf clubs (or lover) for YOU.

The grips (hips or handles) have to feel good in your hands!

Since the grips are your only real "hands on" contact with your club, you need to sample at least three or four different shapes and textures to make sure you find the right one. I say this because there are several variations to choose from. There are round grips, ribbed grips, corded and non-corded and each has a different feel.

You want one that feels completely comfortable and natural in your hands. You have to go full "hands on" to find one suits you best. You'll know when you've got the right one because they'll feel like they were made especially for you.

The weight has to feel right!

You don't want "too heavy" and you don't want "too light", you want "just right"!

Traditionally, on a matched set of golf clubs, club weight is the same from the 3 iron all the way to the 9 iron. And since this is 70% of your club set, it's important to feel comfortable with your irons.

For beginners, it is generally best to choose clubs with a graphite shaft (lightweight and flexible) versus steel because of the lighter weight. This serves to help you gain more power in your swing.

You don't want flexibility in a pitching wedge, sand wedge or putter however, and therefore steel shafts are appropriate for these clubs.

Your choice of playing partners can have an effect on your game.

And nothing ruins a good game faster than having to play with a dipstick for a partner. The best advice I can offer on this is to tell you something you should already know... don't play with dicks!

How to Buy Golf Clubs Online - What to Look for in an Online Club Builder

Are you in the market for new golf clubs? More and more golfers are considering making their club purchase online. Custom clubs are carving out an online niche. What should you look for in an online club builder? Look for the same traits in an online retailer that you would in a brick and mortar store. Because the online store is somewhere in cyber space and you may not be able to visit an actual business, there are some things to consider. The most obvious is only order from a secure server. The other thing would be to be cautious of sites that don't allow for custom options, these retailers are probably drop shipping products and can't give the service needed to help a lot of golfers.

As a professional club builder I have built in bias towards the custom club segment of the market. I also believe that the custom fit option is far better than buying stock "off the rack clubs". Custom clubs give golfers the option of clubs that are at least as good as any brand name, (most of the time better), at a significantly lower price.

The best way to have clubs fit to your swing is to get what is known as a dynamic fitting. This is where the golfer actually hits shots, and measurements are taken to determine the best fit options. This obviously can't be done online. The next best option can be done online, and that is static fitting. In a static fitting the customer answers a series of questions, takes measurements, and submits them to the club builder to determine the best fit.

When choosing an online club fitter, look for someone that has professional club building credentials. Look for someone that has personal references, someone that is willing to talk to you personally. A large part of club fitting is an interaction between golfer and club fitter. Measurements alone are not always an absolute indicator. For example, I had a customer come into my shop this week looking for a new driver. His swing speed measured 105 mph. This would generally indicate the player needs a stiff flex shaft. Because of the load this player put on the club, he actually needed an "X" flex shaft. I've seen enough of these exceptions to the rule that I believe a conversation should be part of the online buying experience. During a dynamic fitting session, the club fitter will have an interaction with the player. If I spend an hour with a player during a dynamic session, I should be able to spend a few minutes on the phone with someone from another area for a static fitting.

An important quality of an online fitter is how do they stand behind their products? The guarantee can make the difference between real value and shoddy craftsmanship. Many component manufacturers will warrant their heads and shafts against manufacturing defects, but they don't back products that have been deemed "abused" or improperly assembled. The club builder's guarantee should cover these issues. No club builder will guarantee a club that some one that has tried to use a club to chop down a tree, or thought a club could fly, but for all but the worst case, the club builder will back his or her workmanship.

Finally, to get the most from an online fitting experience is to answer any questions the club fitter has as brutally honest as possible. If you hit your drives 200 yards with a huge banana slice, don't let your ego get in the way, and say you hit drives 250 down the middle. I had a call from a golfer that told me he was a beginner, and he hit his drives on the average of about 290 yards and always in the fairway. He wanted a club to give him more distance. I don't think he was trying to lie about his game, but, I believe that he was not a good judge of distance and he only remembered the ones in the fairways. The more information that you can give the club fitter, the closer you can get to a perfectly fit club.

This guide can be used for brick and mortar club builders as well as online. The club buying experience shouldn't be intimidating or difficult. Getting clubs that fit your individual swing will help you achieve lower scores, more enjoyment, and save you enough money to play more rounds.

5 Tips to Buying Golf Clubs

As we all know, when you play golf having the right equipment is paramount, I don't mean by that that you have to go out and spend a fortune buying the best equipment available but just that it must suit your game. Finding the right clubs for you can be a daunting task as there is a multitude of choice. To help you choose the right club for you we have come up with 5 tips to consider when choosing your next golf clubs.

Ok first step is to decide on your skill level. Are you a beginner, a seasoned good club player or a single figure handicapper? You must be honest with yourself here as different clubs suit different skill levels and if you are an average golfer playing expert clubs this could have a negative impact on your game. Choose clubs that will help you play the game better not ones that look good on the first tee.
Golf clubs are available to suit any budget; you can spend a hundred pounds or a thousand pounds but it is important to stay within your budget. Spending on golf equipment can easily get out of hand and what will the wife say if she can't get her two weeks in the sun so you can show off your new expensive clubs. Remember just because a golf club costs less it doesn't mean it performs worse. How many times have you played against someone who has, what you would consider an inferior driver, but they place it down the middle of the fairway every time. If it suits your game and budget then it is right for you.
Next have a think about how you play the game, what is your shot shape? Do you hit the ball high or low? Do you hit the ball with a slice or a fade? Do you swing fast or slow? Again clubs will have features that suit each of the shot types and you can find clubs that will help you hit the ball more consistently and straighter.
Next decide how often you play. Do you just play in the weekly medal or most days throughout the summer? There is no point in buying the top priced gear if you play 5 times a year. On the other hand if you play all the time and are reasonably proficient at the game then why not spend a little extra; after all it is your main hobby it seems.
Lastly research and research some more. The internet means that there is so much information available to us which can help in golf club selection. This will range from golf magazines articles and manufacturers websites to reviews by people like you and me telling you how they got on with the clubs. This can be the most useful as it is real stories by real people without the sales pitch you might get from a manufacturer. Also online you will find the best prices and can ensure you get the right product at the right price.

So when you're in the market for some new golf clubs follow these 5 tips and I'm sure before long you will be sporting some nifty new clubs that help you hit the ball cleaner, further and you will have some money left over in the bank.

Why You Should Buy Golf Clubs Online

While it might seem unconventional to buy your golf clubs online, this is how millions of golfers are buying their equipment these days. Online golf stores, covering more categories than you could imagine, have appeared on the Internet...and they're not going away. While there are obvious attractions for golf equipment sellers to take their business online (eg global reach, low overheads) there are also many benefits for savvy buyers.

Selection

A pretty obvious one, but online stores provide buyers with access to a huge selection of golf clubs. Online stores can stock many times what a physical store can as they are not limited to the space available in a traditional retail store. Some of the larger online stores have access to industrial-sized warehouses to store their inventory.

In addition to a huge range of products in online stores, you can shop at virtually hundreds of online stores around the world. I've probably got access to a dozen or so stores within an hour's drive of my house....no such limitation when shopping online.

Specialization

Because online stores have access to a global market, it can be feasible for them to specialize in a certain category of golf equipment, rather than have to stock a broad range of items. For example, if I'm in the market for a putter, I can go to an online store that sells only putters. Chances are I'm going to be able to find a putter that's right for me, and because they specialize in putters, I'm likely to have access to expert advice.

Price

While you can easily compare prices to find the best online deals, it's also possible to get access to great discounts and offers. I'll cover this in more detail in the tips below, but many online golf stores offer discount coupons through online affiliates....much more so than traditional retail stores.

Convenience

Online stores never close, meaning that you can browse or shop whenever you please - usually after dinner, and when the kids have gone to bed for me! You can also compare prices between stores within a matter of minutes, rather than having to drive across town or wait on the end of the phone for a store assistant to get to back to you.

Information

Many online stores provide buying guides and some even have blogs which provide additional information about equipment. While physical stores often have knowledgeable staff, it's a bit more hit-and-miss. Video tutorials are also becoming more popular to help golfers choose the right equipment for their game.

4 Things to Consider Before Buying Golf Clubs

Every year golf manufacturers come out with new improvements for their golf clubs. If you watch golf on TV you are inundated with those commercials.

With all the advertisements and endorsements from professional golfers, it is impossible to know what the best golf clubs are for you. Some of us are swayed by our favorite golfer and other by the perceived best manufacturer. The selection of clubs and pricing is extensive and confusing too.

So how does the average weekend golfer choose the best golf clubs for his or her game?

There are 5 things that you need to consider before you make your purchase.

1.) Budget - This is the most important starting point. Golf clubs can range from under $100 for a putter to a couple of thousand for a set. The average cost of a new set of irons, can range from $400 to $1500 depending on the manufacturer.

Pick a price range that fits your budget and stick to it. There are plenty of choices.

2.) Shaft - The stiffness and type of shaft that you have on your golf clubs will make a huge difference in how well you strike the ball. If you shaft is too stiff, you won't get the flex you need to generate good club head speed. This will affect the distance and direction of your shot.

If the shaft is not stiff enough, your shaft will flex way too much and this will have a different affect all together.

3.) Clubhead - Should your irons be forged or cavity backed? Many of the professional golfers prefer to use forged irons, but in the last few years we have seen more of them switch to cavity backed irons. The cavity back iron has a larger sweet spot and is more forgiving.

Another thing to consider is what type of woods I should have in my bag. (We know they are no longer made out of wood) The 460cc driver is the most common, but there are different shapes, sizes and alloys being used depending on the manufacturer.

If you are going for a new driver, it is a good idea to consider replacing all your woods. Having your driver and 3 wood matching will give you a better feel.

4.) Hybrids - Hybrids have become more popular. They are very versatile and many have replaced their 3, 4 and 5 irons with hybrids. This is one change that I would seriously consider. Many amateurs struggle with the long irons, so this is really a no-brainer.

When it is time to purchase new golf clubs, take time to investigate before you plunge in. It is definitely worth the time and effort. I would suggest that you try out a few different brands before you buy.

How to Buy Golf Clubs

Are you looking to buy golf clubs, but are unsure of how to go about buying the right set for you?

Depending on the level of golfer you are will determine the process of buying golf clubs. This article will cover the process for a novice golfer, since the more experienced golfer will be familiar with the steps. The most important step when before purchasing a new set of irons is figure out what you want out of the new set of clubs. Do you need more forgiveness? higher ball flight? lower ball flight? more consistency? or whatever it may be. This will be necessary to begin the process.

Visit a golf professional

You will want to visit a golf professional or golf store where you can speak with someone about your golf swing. You'll want to to have them analyze your golf swing, along with measuring your golf swing. You'll gain a lot of information about what types of clubs would best fit your game. They'll ask you about what your game, and maybe what you are trying to accomplish with a new set of golf clubs, and it's why we mentioned to have this figured out before your visit.

Try out many different choices

Based upon your skill level, and the outcome of your discussion with a golf pro, you'll want to find some demo days around your area and hit different clubs. If you can't find a few demo days, find a golf store with a launch monitor. The launch monitor will provide feedback about your golf swing and contact. It's best to try the clubs on a driving range so that the true ball flight can be observed, however that is sometimes hard to do without going to demo days by the manufacturers. You'll want to try out many different sets of clubs to find a couple of sets and shafts that you feel comfortable with hitting.

Shop online and offline

Now that you have narrowed down your search to a few different sets of golf clubs, it's best to start looking for the best price. Make sure to shop online and offline, and look at used golf clubs. Used golf clubs can save you quite a bit of money if you are under a budget. Make sure to check out eBay, but beware of some of the issues with eBay before purchasing golf clubs. Make sure to check out sales and coupons that are available to use as this can save you quite a bit of money.

If you follow these steps, you'll end up with a new set of golf irons that will be great for improving your golf game.

Also be sure to check out GolfBargainHunters to get the most up-to-date information on golf equipment coupons, golf sales, Latest golf bargains and other information to help you save money and enjoy the great game of golf.

Learn About Buying Golf Clubs For Kids

So you think your child is the next Tiger Woods or Michelle Wie? Or maybe you simply wish to share the game of golf with your child? Either way, getting kids started in golf can be confusing even for the seasoned golfer, especially when it comes time for buying clubs for kids.

Buying golf clubs for kids is not what it used to be. Gone are the days of buying an adult set and simply cutting down the length. Adult clubs have heavy shafts and heads that will make it even harder for your child to enjoy the game. Any good set of golf clubs for kids will have lightweight heads, light and flexible shafts, and smaller grips, all of which will help your child make better contact and get the ball airborne more easily.

Before buying golf clubs for kids that come in an entire set, it is advisable to see if your child is truly interested in pursuing the game. Golf can be a difficult and frustrating game. It is widely held in the golf industry that for every adult taking up the game, there is another who quits in frustration. A good way to judge your child's interest before buying golf clubs for kids is to start with one or two clubs. Unlike adult clubs, buying golf clubs for kids means you can frequently buy them individually as well as in sets. For a small investment you can purchase a single iron club (like a seven iron), and a putter, and then head off to the local practice green or pitch-and-putt course.

Once you feel confident that your child is interested and committed to learning golf, then it is time to consider buying golf clubs for kids that come in a full set. However, unlike a typical set of fourteen clubs found in the golf bags of most adults, buying golf clubs for kids in a set does not need to be so extensive. Depending on the age and strength of your child, the ideal set of golf clubs for kids could be as small as three clubs. (A high lofted fairway wood, seven iron, and a putter are ideal for a young child). As your child continues to grow in size and strength, they will need to add additional clubs to their ideal set of golf clubs for kids.

Remember, as your child grows they will grow out of their clubs just as they grow out of their clothes. Buying golf clubs for kids that are a properly fitted set is imperative if you want your child to have the proper equipment, so be prepared for buying new golf clubs for kids every one to two years.

Whether buying golf clubs for kids that are individual or one of the complete sets of golf clubs for kids that come with a golf bag, the important thing is to share the game you love with your child by providing them with equipment that will help them get the most from their experience.

How to Buy Golf Clubs For Your Level of Game

Buying the wrong golf clubs is as terrible for you as buying the wrong car for a race driver. If you do not have the appropriate equipment, you will not be able to play well no matter how experienced you are.

The best way to have a step ahead of most golfers is to know what you are doing. So, when it comes to choosing the golf clubs, you should learn all of the various factors that can affect your game.

There are so many club options available so that selecting a good set does not mean you must spend thousands of dollars. You can spend very little cash and still get a set of clubs that will meet your needs completely.

If you are a beginner, you should focus on buying irons. These are the main types of clubs and therefore this is where you should concentrate most of your efforts.

If you think too much about numerous types and styles, you will become overwhelmed with information and will end up with a bad decision once you purchase your clubs.

The first thing about the irons that you must take into account is how they are made. For a novice player it is much better to get a set of golf clubs that are cast irons.

When you master your swings and significantly enhance your skills then you should go for a set of forged clubs. Why? Because they allow the ability to affect the trajectory much better. But keep in mind that forged clubs are extremely inappropriate for beginners because of a much smaller sweet spot on them.

The next thing you need to take into account is the size of the head. Usually, golf clubs have very small heads. This means there is a smaller sweet spot. Thus, you need to have a much higher skill level in order to play a good game.

If you are a beginner or intermediate level golf player, you should use a medium head club. There are also larger or oversized heads. However, selecting them is usually a bad idea because you will not be able to control the club as well. This will create many problems and you will not be able to really improve your game.

Choosing the right set of clubs is critical if you want to make sure that you are playing well. A bed set of clubs, no matter whether they are high quality will cost you many strokes on the green and you will become very frustrated.

Selecting the correct set of clubs does not mean you must buy custom made clubs. However, you should take your skill level into account to in order to purchase clubs that will help you enhance your game and play a good game.

To protect your golf clubs, you will need a good bag. Club Glove Last Bag is used by most professionals. Find out why it is considered the best golf travel bag.

Tips on Buying Golf Clubs For Beginners - It's All About Size, Flex, and Forgiveness

When it comes to selecting beginner golf clubs, there are some very important guidelines that need to be observed. All clubs are not created equal, and if you select the correct clubs, your learning experience will be much more productive and enjoyable.

When we look at golf club design since 1990, we see the movement to a larger clubface. This has resulted in clubs that are significantly easier to hit, meaning more good golf shots, even for beginners. This is due to the creation of a larger "hitting area" or "sweet spot" on the clubface where the ball can be struck solidly for maximum distance. Beginning golfers absolutely must start their golfing careers with large head metal woods and oversize irons.

Club manufacturers have also added the element of "perimeter weighting" to the larger irons. Perimeter weighting is the term used for moving weight from the center of the club to the outer edges. This club design is known as "cavity back." With this weight distribution, the clubhead is less likely to twist when the ball is struck outside the sweet spot. The resulting shot will travel farther and straighter than a similar shot hit with a small clubhead.

Golf clubs with large clubheads and perimeter weighting are known as "game improvement" clubs, or forgiving clubs. These are clubs that will produce the best possible shot results when the ball is not struck precisely. Beginning golfers should rely on this element of forgiveness to get the most enjoyment out of their learning experience.

Additionally, these larger clubheads should be paired with a regular flex or graphite club shaft to further increase the chances of success. These club shafts are more flexible and will enable the beginner to accelerate the clubhead through impact with the ball. The greater the clubhead speed, the greater the distance the ball will travel.

One last tip on buying golf clubs for beginners is to take a good look at used clubs. Golfers have a propensity to abandon their old clubs in a never ending attempt to buy a better golf game. Consequently, there are lots of used clubs available with the characteristics of size, flex, and forgiveness mentioned above. Just check out garage sales, golf pro shops, and golf superstores. Often times these clubs are in very good shape and at very decent prices.

Buying Golf Clubs Online - What to Look For

If you decide to buy golf clubs online you should first do some research and study. The following information may help people in purchasing.

1. Woods, Irons and Hybrids are the different types of clubs. Woods are used to drive the ball long distances, irons are used for shots with swing in rough, greens, over the hills and trees and hybrids are used for the shots that require combination of swing and distance. Putters are used for loft not exceeding 10 degrees.

2. One should select the club, so that he can enjoy and improve his game. The standard set of clubs consists of a putter, 10 irons and 3 woods. Knowledge in usage of golf clubs play an important role in the selection of the club. Golf requires different shots like pitches, drives, chips, putts, sand shots, long/ short approach shots and drives.

3. The first choice for buying golf clubs should be wholesale golf clubs where one can get best service, quality and price.

4. ESPN, NGCgolf, PGA, ebay and Golfempireonline and many others offer quality golf clubs. Some of the clubs offers discounts and some organize auctions also.

5. Golf clubs that are suited for people with a high handicap will not necessarily suit people with a low handicap. It will become difficult for the adjustments for people with different skill sets and qualities due to the difference in the flex involved and the head type in the clubs. So people should pay attention to the material of the head and also to the size of the golf club.

6. The loft range should be 10-12 degrees for the beginners and 6-10 degrees for low handicap players.

7. Shaft of the golf clubs should also be considered during the selection of the clubs. Shafts are generally made of steel and graphite materials. Shafts made of steel are stiff and give control for the persons over swing. For quick and high swing speed steel and stiff graphite shafts are preferred. Graphite shafts absorb shock better than steel shafts and are preferred for low swing speeds.

8. Length of the golf club is another factor as persons with average height should go for normal length clubs and taller persons should select larger golf clubs.

9. Once these stages are finished, importance should be given to the grip. Grips influence a players feel with the club during the swing and its impact and a comfortable grip play a vital role in his performance. Firm grips should be preferred for the person to have a successful swing.

10. On an average the prices for top of the line products range around putters $300, golf balls $60, drivers $300-$600,irons $700-$1200.There are many other products costing half the price of the above mentioned and beginners can practice using second hand products.

11. Whatever may be the type, variation and style of the club, one should only buy golf clubs online that suit them rather than going with the advertisements.

Conclusion

Based on the level of expertise and skill set of a person, he can choose from wide range of products that are suitable for him. It has never been easier or more affordable to buy golf clubs online.

Buying Golf Clubs, Read This Guide First

Folks, don't get tied up into the hype of golf club manufacturers. If you are not careful, you could be throwing your hard earned money down the drain. This is your guide you need to read before buying golf clubs.

What do these manufacturers promise? They promise you that their clubs will fix your golf game, improve your swing, straighten your shots, etc, etc. Sounds great, so you go shell out major bucks for these clubs. You go to the golf course with these clubs, and guess what happens? Well, if you are one of those where your equipment was the problem, then you could see some improvement, if you have the right clubs.

What if you are one of those who has problems not related to your golf equipment? You expected the club to fix your nasty hook or whatever. But, the problem with the nasty hook could be your fault, not the golf club's fault. What if you have been swinging incorrectly, but you never really fixed your problem. Maybe, you never knew you had a problem with your golf swing? Well, with your new golf clubs, you still may see that you are still hitting far left or right of your desired target, for example. You just spent potentially hundreds of dollars buying these golf clubs, and you still have the same problem. The reality may be that the clubs you already had were perfectly fine. You could have saved your money and sought out golf swing instructional video or something. Well, thanks to this guide, you will be better equipped with knowledge.

Am I saying that better golf clubs can't improve your game? No, don't get the wrong idea of this guide. Good golf clubs can improve your game, so there is nothing wrong with buying high quality golf clubs. But, one of the main points is that you need to learn to play the game of golf well, first and foremost. If you are swinging a $20 club wrong, and you put a $200 club in your hands and you are still swinging wrong, there is a good chance you will still end up with the same problems. Some golf clubs can help out, but you still should be swinging correctly, in order to really improve the shot. Or else, you may only see minimal improvement, or none at all. Learning to play well will also help you to decide what golf clubs are better for you. Perhaps the best way to start playing golf is with some used clubs or a cheap set. That way you can develop your swing and find out which clubs are best for you. Make sure you go to a professional or knowledgeable golfer who can help guide you to the right clubs. Give the clubs a swing and see if they "feel" good to you.

Before I conclude this guide to buying golf clubs, I will tell you a story that will hopefully help make a point. I have a golf buddy of mine who has been playing with a cheap $100 set of clubs, this excludes his driver and one of his woods (I think). In the main, he has a dirt cheap set of clubs. This guy is continually beating me and others on the golf course. What does this tell us? It tells us, for one thing, he knows how to swing the golf club, and knows how to play golf. It tells us the golf clubs are performing fine. And it tells us, you don't need to spend tons of money on golf clubs to play a great game of golf. Sure, again, some clubs might help, and be better for him, but as you can see, it's not all about the equipment. Also note that "better" does not have to be more expensive. Knowing how to swing the club and how to play the game effectively is of the utmost importance.

Troy was introduced to his first game of golf by some of his long time friends. Well, at first, of course, the game was awkward and frustrating. But, the more games he played, the more he developed a love for the game. Now, he likes to help others in their pursuit of a "great" golf game. Troy has put together a website to do just that. There you can get many other free golf swing tips, and golf tips, just like the one above, just by signing up. Go to [http://www.golfswingvoodoo.com/Play_better_golf.html] to get started.

Buying Golf Clubs For the Beginner Golfer - Where to Start?

Tiger Woods has had a tremendous impact on the popularity of the game of golf. Many new golfers, young and old, are learning and loving this great sport. This has been great for the golf equipment manufacturers with many new customers to buy golf clubs, bags, golf shoes, accessories and more.

But for the many new golfers coming into the sport, it can be confusing at best when it comes to buying clubs. First of all, the choices and variety of clubs offered today are mind boggling, even to more experienced golfers. Cavity back, oversize, graphite shafts for steel, offset or not, and so on and so on.

For years, golf had what I believed was the negative misperception that it was only for the rich and privileged. And if you look at what you can spend on golf clubs today, it's easy to see why that perception might have been there. To buy a complete new set of golf clubs and golf bag, you can easily spend upwards of $3,000 if you aren't careful.

So what is a beginning golfer to do? How can they figure out how to buy clubs without breaking the bank and have some money left for actually playing the game?

Well there are a few basics that I recommend. Now bear in mind, if money is no object, then you may choose to ignore the rest of this article. But for those of you like me where you need to watch what you spend, then keep reading and find some sanity.

First of all, my biggest recommendation for new golfers is to avoid going out and spending a lot of money on a brand new, complete set of golf clubs from the big name manufacturers. There are some great clubs out there from companies like Callaway, TaylorMade, Cleveland, and so on. And at some point, I think it can help your game to buy those clubs. But when you are starting out, I don't recommend it.

So where and what should you buy if you follow the advice in the previous paragraph? Well, my recommendation is to go one of two routes depending on your budget. If you have a little more to spend, I would recommend buying a used set of brand name clubs. Ebay of course is a great place to shop. But the Internet retail sites are now also starting to offer used Callaway, used TaylorMade and other big name clubs at very reasonable prices.

But this may still be outside what you have to spend. In this case, you can still get quality clubs at budget prices. There are a number of quality "low budget" clubs that aren't household names like the big guys. And you can find them at many sites on the web. The bigger key is probably to make sure that you buy them from a reliable site that has a good return policy and good warranties.

Now there is also another option that takes a little more work but can really pay off. And that is looking for used brand name clubs from "former" golfers or at many of the used equipment retail stores like Play It Again Sports. Many people have spent a lot of money on golf clubs only to give up the game for a variety of reasons. And that means that there are some nice sets of golf clubs in closets, garages, and stores just waiting for you to snatch them up for a steal.

But whatever you do in purchasing your first set of golf clubs, the main thing is to enjoy the game and not let the purchase of those clubs get in the way.

Buying Golf Clubs Made Easier

Golf is a wonderful sport to play. Having a sport makes a person grow and develop the self to a more well-rounded being. Golf can ensure this and even more.

The Golf Club

There are various aspects in the game of golf. One thing that a serious golfer must focus on is to get grip of a good golf club. The golf club is what one will use to make a graceful swing. This is an important matter for any serious golf enthusiast, whether a veteran player or a mere beginner.

The golf club must be particularly and properly selected. It must suit the need and the ability of the golfer. Believe it or not but every golf club is specifically structured to correct the faults of a particular player. It can even improve the speed of the swing of the player.

Using the right golf club can make it easier for beginners to learn quickly. For those long-time enthusiasts, the perfect golf club can make them advance even more in their skills.

Different Types of Golf Clubs

1. Drivers and Woods -- These are the most important clubs as they are used for the longer shots.

2. Fairway Woods -- Fairway woods are deemed to be the most reliable type. They are used by many golfers because they can make one feel better in playing.

3. Irons -- They can provide weighting, forgiveness and even a better trajectory. In general, these clubs are still being developed by the technology.

4. Putters -- The putters are also popular. They are also at the edge of high technology now. They look sleek and very modern while retaining the traditional satisfaction in their performance.

Some Tips to Buy the Right Golf Club

For most beginners, they are generally apprehensive of buying golf clubs. For one, it might not be the right kind that will suit his or her needs. Furthermore, this is no cheap buy. Thus, the purchase must be done with careful evaluation.

Here are some tips that may help you in getting your grip on that right golf club for a perfect game:

1. Choosing among Brands

Many golfers have increasingly become conscious of the different brands of the golf clubs they can choose from. Wilson, Yonex, Ping, Mizuno and Callaway are some of the good brands in the market. However, this should not be the primary consideration. There are various types in a certain brand. Their propriety to a golfer will depend in the circumstances and ability of the golfer. Thus, it is imperative to look for the specific features of the golf club rather than seek right away for the brands.

2. Ability Level

When choosing the golf club, it is necessary to know the ability level of the player. There are 3 ability levels to consider, the low handicap, the mid handicap and the high handicap.

The low-handicap golfers are those who must carry a fairway wood, a driver and lower irons together with the three wedges: pitching wedge, sand wedge or lob wedge.

The mid-handicap player should have a 9-wood in their golf bags. A fairway wood is also good to give more consistency to the grip.

High-handicap golfers are usually those who have not yet practiced too well. They still have to master the basic swings.

3. Know the Right Flexibility

Golf clubs also have their flex or also known as the bend. Basically, it pertains to the flexibility of the golf club at the shaft part.

Beginners are recommended to use golf clubs that have more flexibility. They still lack the control and consistency that is needed for a powerful swing. The more powerful swingers can manage with clubs with less flex.

Conclusion

Playing golf allows one to explore the outdoors while having fun with friends. It also gives way to improving on the grace and precision that are very important to make a good game.

Buy Golf Clubs - Tips to Buying Your First Golf Set

Golf is a game that only gets even better as you become more experienced and your swings are solid. One of the most daunting tasks however that's enough to intimidate just about any player is actually choosing your golf clubs. As a beginner, it is highly recommended to buy golf clubs that are more suited for novice players such as those are more forgiving and easy to use.

If you intend to play golf for a while, then you will need to be well equipped to be well prepared under any circumstances. Consider starting off with half a set which consists of a putter, two woods and five irons and then building up to a full set as you get more comfortable. Later down the road, you may want to consider customizing your golf clubs for even better ball control and stability.

You will often find that one of the most important clubs is the putter as you will be using this a majority of the time for when the ball hits on the green. Be sure to go to your local golfing store to try out as many as you can until you find one that is most comfortable for you. Also, don't be afraid to spend a little more money on putters as quality really does make a difference.

When purchasing a putter, most beginners tend to stick with what's called a "heel and toe" putter as these are best suited for novices for their ease of use. Putters with sight lines should also be considered as they help you to strike the center of the ball during your stroke. Fairway woods with a lofted face help to propel the ball the furthest distance while also offering great ball control.

While purchasing your first golf club set can be fairly intimidating, once you get the process down it becomes much easier in the future. Every individual is unique so your best bet to finding the right golf clubs that suit you is to simply experiment with as many as you can. It is essential that you purchase the proper golf set as preparation is key to success.

Buying Golf Clubs

No, I am not Donald Trump offering advice on how to spend millions buying or building a golf club and course, what I will help you with is buying golf clubs on the assumption that you are new to the wonderful game of golf. If you are a newcomer then let me first go through what I consider to be the main clubs required to play golf. There are countless other clubs you can buy but let's start with the basics.

The first clubs you will need in your bag are your woods. Although they are called woods nowadays they are mainly metal headed clubs. These are your long distance shot makers. There is always debate as to whether a newcomer to the game needs a driver, however manufacturers have now made drivers so forgiving that you should certainly look to have on of these in your bag. Additionally you will need to select at least one other wood. I use a 5 wood in my bag, however if you are playing a long course then you may want to swap the 5 wood for a three wood. I always keep a utility club in my bag. These clubs are handy for getting the ball out of the rough and are handy if you are not too strong with your long irons. I use my utility wood in place of my three and four iron.

For the irons, if you are using a utility club n place of your three and four iron, then you need to select a 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 iron. As a starter you can get away with a 5, 7 and 9 iron. The next selection you need to make is your wedges. You should carry at least two wedges in your bag. The first wedge you should select is a sand wedge, imperative for getting out of bunkers. You then need to select a pitching wedge. These come in all shapes, sizes and angles of loft, I suggest you just go with a standard pitching wedge to start with. As your knowledge and game improves you can then start adding different wedges to your golf set.

The last but most important club is you putter. If there is one club in your bag that can lower your scores it is your putter. Take your time in selecting this club and ensure that you feel comfortable every time you use this club. Remember a putt from two inches is the same value of stroke on your card as your 230 yard drive.

How do I select and buy clubs? Well,my recommendation would be to go to your club professional. If you are not a member of a club then find a club near you which has a professional shop and go and visit them. The professional will be able to check your stature and swing plane and ensure that the clubs you buy are the best suited for you. They will also have the facility to alter the clubs to make them best fit for your game.

Now you have your clubs, get out on the course, shoot low scores and most importantly enjoy the best game in sport and the camaraderie with your fellow golfers.

Beginner Tips on Buying Golf Clubs

If you have some experience with golf, you will agree that choosing the right club for a shot on a target is very important and the decision rests with the player to choose. Imagine a situation of preparing for an exam excellently and you go to exam without a pen that works right; then you have understood the situation without a right club although you have good skill.

You must decide on your commitment to the game; whether you are going to be in the game for long time or you just want to try the game because of your unexpected free time. Based on this you can borrow from a friend or buy second hand club or buy new one because golf clubs are costly and it would not be of much use if you are not planning to play the game in future. A common mistake is the notion of associating high price to performance because it does not happen all the time.

If you are short, then you may not be able to use normal sized golf club and you do not have to worry about the performance based on your physical height because there are customized golf clubs available. Shaft is the lengthy part which is either made of graphite or steel or other alloys; graphite shaft clubs are lighter and steel clubs are more durable than the other ones. Decide based on your requirement because women tend to prefer lighter ones and men can easily use regular steel clubs.

You may have got a good golf club but if your swing is not right then you can not expect you to perform better analogous to the situation where you go to exam with good pen but no preparation. If you know a friend or someone who is exposed to golf it is better to take him along while buying one and your golf instructor, if you have one, could best advice on buying golf clubs.
